A large protest was held outside the Indian Embassy in London on Wednesday to observe Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir.
The demonstration drew a large number of participants carrying Pakistani and Kashmiri flags, including elderly people, women, children and individuals from various walks of life.
Protesters chanted slogans against Indian rule in Kashmir and expressed solidarity with the people of the region. Demonstrators also raised slogans in support of Kashmir and pledged to continue their campaign until what they described as the realization of Kashmir’s freedom.
The protesters said that on August 5, 2019 India ended the status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, adding Indian embassy is involved in anti-Pakistan and anti-Kashmir activities, and Kashmiris and Pakistanis are one soul and two flesh.
People from occupied Kashmir also participated in the protest in full force. The protesters demanded that the international community take notice of the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, and said that support for the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination would continue.
