PSX ends week on bearish note, loses 2,938 points

Shafaqna Pakistan: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) remained under pressure during the outgoing week, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index declining 2,938 points to close at 177,166.

The index fluctuated within a range of 5,048 points, reaching a weekly high of 181,158 and a low of 176,110.

Trading activity remained robust, with around 4.22 billion shares changing hands in transactions worth approximately Rs205 billion.

Meanwhile, the market’s total capitalisation fell by Rs247 billion over the week, settling at Rs19,882 billion.

The weekly performance reflected a predominantly negative trend in the stock market, with the benchmark index ending the week considerably lower than its previous close.
