Shafaqna Pakistan: More than 200,000 prospective pilgrims have completed online registration for Hajj during the first 11 days of the registration campaign, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The ministry said about 180,000 applicants registered through the official web portal, while another 24,000 used the dedicated mobile application, reflecting the increasing use of digital platforms for Hajj services.
Official data showed that more than 154,000 applicants opted for the government Hajj scheme, while around 49,000 registered under the private Hajj scheme.
Punjab recorded the highest number of registrations with approximately 95,000 applicants, followed by Sindh with 63,000. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa accounted for around 28,000 registrations, while Islamabad recorded 9,000.
The ministry added that 5,500 applicants registered from Balochistan, 1,200 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 600 from Gilgit-Baltistan.
The registration data also showed that 119,000 men and 84,500 women have completed the process so far.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said the online registration system is designed to make the application process faster and more convenient for intending pilgrims. It advised applicants to complete registration through the official portal or mobile application within the prescribed deadline to avoid any inconvenience.
The registration figures are expected to rise further as more Pakistanis complete the process in preparation for the upcoming Hajj season.
