Shafaqna Pakistan- More than 4.4 million foreign pilgrims have entered Iraq to participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, with no security incidents reported so far, according to the country’s Security Media Cell.
Lt. Gen. Saad Maan, head of the Security Media Cell, said a total of 4,465,079 foreign pilgrims had arrived in Iraq through all border crossings since the first day of Muharram.
He noted that the influx of pilgrims remained steady, with large numbers continuing to enter the country via various border points.
Maan added that the movement of pilgrims along all designated routes was proceeding smoothly, while senior military commanders and field officers continued to supervise security operations. He said no security breaches had been recorded during the pilgrimage.
