Oath-Taking of New Gilgit-Baltistan CM Deferred

Shafaqna Pakistan: The swearing-in ceremony of newly elected Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain Advocate, scheduled for July 1 at the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, has been postponed.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Amjad Hussain Advocate said the ceremony had been deferred due to the busy schedule of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

He said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would attend the oath-taking ceremony as the chief guest, adding that a new date for the event would be announced later.

Amjad Hussain Advocate is the president of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s Gilgit-Baltistan chapter and has been elected to the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly for a second consecutive term.
